How works Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect?

Our highest SPF product in the Medik8line, with the highest level of PA+ protection against UVA rays – PA++++. We use a complex of premium state-of-the-art sunscreens carefully selected for their photosensitivity, skin benefits and skin-loving benefits.

Advanced Day Ultimate Protect sun protection is enhanced by DNA repair enzymes. Exposure to UV rays can lead to DNA damage, with consequences for natural processes such as the free radical defense mechanism and collagen production. Photolyase, a light-activated enzyme, supports the skin's natural repair mechanisms to prevent the future formation of visible fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation due to UV exposure. The photolyase is encapsulated to optimize skin penetration, delivering a new generation of anti-aging results, including healthier looking and more resilient skin with a natural glow.

UV rays aren't the only thing we need to protect our skin from; we are also exposed to a number of other day-to-day factors throughout the year that can cause premature aging.

Advanced Day Ultimate Protect contains sustainably sourced blueberry seed oil, a natural shield against blue light. Blue light from the sun can cause free radical damage or visible hyperpigmentation on the complexion. Blueberry oil is able to absorb the blue light before it hits the skin, minimizing the damage from blue light exposure.

Marrubium vulgare extract provides superior protection against pollution to limit damage from environmental pollutants, by protecting skin cells and helping to strengthen the skin barrier.

Carnosine is a multi-tasking di-peptide that protects against both glycation and infrared. Glycation is a natural aging process in which dietary sugars react with proteins such as collagen, turning them into advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) that cannot be renewed, leading to fine lines and wrinkles. Advanced Day Ultimate Protect uses carnosine to inhibit the glycation response and protect the skin from skin aging due to glycation. Carnosine can also protect the skin from infrared rays, which make up about half of the sun's rays and are known to play a role in the breakdown of collagen.

Nourishing squalane and moisturizing hyaluronic acid provide the skin with long-lasting moisture, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

How do you use Medik8 Advanced Day Ultimate Protect?
